Polish MP: We respect Armenia’s European aspirations and want to accompany it on this path

Arminfo.  "We are meeting at a time when relations between Armenia and the European Union are going through one of the most active, profound and significant stages in their history," said Arusyak Julhakyan, Chair of the Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs of the RA National Assembly, welcoming the delegation of the Poland-Armenia Friendship Group of the Polish Sejm to the country’s parliament.

The delegation  arrived  in Armenia to participate in the opening of a course on the processes of rapprochement with the EU.  As reported by the NA press service, in her welcoming remarks Arusyak Julhakyan noted that the current relations between Armenia and the EU are not simply an expansion of diplomatic ties; they are a strategic choice aimed at strengthening the sovereignty, security, economic resilience and democratic future of the Armenian state. Emphasizing the key role of the EU in the region, the MP called the deployment of the EU Observation Mission in Armenia a cornerstone step in ensuring border security and regional stability.

"This course is an excellent platform for gaining a deep understanding of the full potential, challenges and vision for the future of relations between Armenia and the EU," Arusyak Julhakyan said, addressing the course participants.

According to the chair of the committee, the professional knowledge, discussions and proposals of the course participants are extremely important for increasing the effectiveness of the foreign policy and domestic reforms being implemented in the country.

The participants of the course were also welcomed by Lucian Petrzhik, head of the Poland-Armenia Friendship Group. According to him, the purpose of the visit is to promote the exchange of experience between the two countries and establish closer cooperation. Important topics of the meeting included "Armenia’s European aspirations" and "The Path to the European Union."

Lucian Petrzhik emphasized the importance of cooperation between the parliamentary Friendship Groups on this issue.
