Mayor promises to open the Babajanyan–Ashtarak road to traffic in six months

ArmInfo.  The Babajanyan-Ashtarak road will be fully open to traffic in six months. Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan announced this on his Facebook page.

He noted that only 270 meters were missing to connect the sections of the road that had already been built. According to the mayor, this section had remained unfinished for many years due to a property dispute and a court injunction. <The problems have now been resolved, and construction has already begun>, he reported.

According to the source, the new section will complete Yerevan’s western road ring. Most of the transit flow will be directed along the bypass road, which will ease traffic on the adjacent and central streets. At the same time, the western part of Yerevan will be better connected to Ashtarak Highway and the <North-South> transport corridor.
