ArmInfo. A delegation headed by Armenia’s First Deputy Minister of Defense and Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, Edward Asryan, took part in demonstration exercises in Poland. The Armenian defense ministry did not report what kind of exercises were involved.
According to the press service of Armenia’s Ministry of Defense, Edward Asryan also attended the opening ceremony of the Kielce International Defense Industry Exhibition.
The Chief of the General Staff of the Armenian Armed Forces held a number of meetings with representatives of Poland’s military-industrial sector. The defense ministry also reported that the Armenian delegation has been in Poland since September 7.
It should be noted that back in July of this year, Prime Minister Donald Tusk announced that the first military exercises of the "coalition of the willing" would be held in Poland in the autumn of 2026. He noted at the time that the Polish armed forces would act both as the host and as participants in the maneuvers, which would also involve British and French units. According to him, the exercises are intended to prepare the group of countries supporting Kyiv for "specific security guarantees for Ukraine, as well as for the entire region" after a peace agreement or ceasefire is achieved.
