Bayramov announced a meeting with Mirzoyan in the near future

ArmInfo. Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov will meet with his Armenian counterpart Ararat Mirzoyan in the near future. Bayramov himself reported this. At the same time, he did not specify the date of the upcoming meeting.

As APA reports, Bayramov also said that the last time he exchanged views on a number of issues with Ararat Mirzoyan was in Bishkek.

Touching on the delimitation of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, he said that Azerbaijan and Armenia had agreed to carry out work on delimiting the state border from north to south, starting from the point where the borders of Azerbaijan, Armenia and Georgia meet.

"On the Azerbaijani side, the composition of the State Commission on Delimitation remains unchanged. The commission is headed by Deputy Prime Minister Shahin Mustafayev. Commission meetings and discussions are held regularly. In Armenia, the relevant commission is also headed by the deputy prime minister," Jeyhun Bayramov noted.

According to him, over the past period, numerous meetings had been held between the commissions of the two countries, and a number of documents regulating the activities of the commissions had been adopted and approved in both Azerbaijan and Armenia.

"There is an agreement on the direction from which the process of delimiting our common border should begin and proceed. There is also agreement and mutual understanding that the work will begin from the more difficult northern section of the border—from the point where the borders of Azerbaijan, Armenia and Georgia meet—and will proceed from north to south," the Azerbaijani foreign minister said.

He also added that issues related to particular settlements would be discussed במסגרת the work of the delimitation commission.
