The mayor identified the main tasks in the transport sector

The priorities for the Yerevan Municipality's Transportation Management Center should be the proper organization of general traffic, given the growing number of cars in the city, addressing the problem of illegal parking, and establishing bus lanes. Mayor Tigran Avinyan stated this during a working meeting of the municipality on September 7.

He also named completing the process of establishing bus lanes as a top priority. Avinyan emphasized that there is no alternative to them for ensuring the rapid movement of public transport.

"In many cases, we see that the problem is not a shortage of buses, but rather the overall congestion on the streets, which ultimately leads to inadequate public transport service. Therefore, bus lanes must be a priority for us," the mayor emphasized.
