In his opinion, the end of politics is evident in the country. "Overall, our society's decades-long dream has come true. 'I don't participate in politics' has become mainstream. There is no politics in Armenia anymore. There are no political processes. Currently, only one person is involved in politics. The country lacks the conditions for politics, there is no political program, public sentiment indicators don't work, it is impossible to understand the real public mood, there is no demand for intellectual products. There are individuals, there is sound political thought emanating from individuals. But this has nothing to do with a coordinated policy. Everyone must draw a conclusion: parliamentary forces, public figures, the enormous intellectual potential in prisons, national capital, thinking people, social strata that more or less correctly understand the situation. A non-politicized state is a direct path to "unexpected events," for which we are always unprepared. We are in an anomalous risk zone, and we are threatened by very serious, incredibly grave risks if we continue in this style - thoughtless, fragmented, disorganized. We are obliged to significantly change the entire content of issues, public discourse and, if you will, the struggle. What should today's policy be about?" the political scientist asks.

According to Vahe Hovhannisyan, first and foremost, this is about countering repression. It is incomprehensible, the political scientist believes, how this issue cannot become a unifying agenda. The second issue on the agenda should be Internal de-escalation in the country, the formation of new rules of coexistence. "This implies a real dialogue with the public on real social and public problems. Explaining this process in Armenia to the collective public and proposing rational alternative solutions. Roughly speaking, the alternative to the 'Fourth Republic' presented to us today is not a glorification of the Third or Fifth, but the need to deeply understand and explain to people what scenarios they are actually trying to hide behind this game of numbers. Understand, explain and offer something different, something realistic for society. This should happen in the sphere of cooperation between socio-political entities, social strata and, most importantly, in the context of intra-social dialogue. This is precisely what the interests of Armenia require, and this is how the mutually destructive internal barricade must be dismantled. It is necessary to reconsider the formulation of the 'struggle' and its content. We cannot fight endlessly in the same way. Politics is not speeches in some halls or on platforms, even if they are witty or apt. "Politics is the formation of social projects, social processes, and serving them. If such social projects and social processes do not exist, then what is there to serve?" - says Vahe Hovhannisyan.
