


ArmInfo. On the sidelines of the SCO+ summit in Bishkek, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan held a meeting with Pakistani Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar.
According to the press service of the Armenian Foreign Ministry, the parties discussed expanding the bilateral agenda and regional processes.
On September 1, 2025, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and Pakistani Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar signed a joint communiqué on the establishment of diplomatic relations between Armenia and Pakistan. On July 6, Armenia appointed its first ambassador to Pakistan. Pakistan had not previously recognized Armenia's independence. This was due to Pakistan's pro-Azerbaijani stance on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. Pakistan not only supported Azerbaijan on the Artsakh issue but also participated in Azerbaijan's large-scale aggression against the self-determined republic in the fall of 2020.
