According to Azerbaijani media, Pezeshkian emphasized the friendly nature of relations between the two countries and noted that Iran intends to maintain good relations with all neighboring states.

For his part, Aliyev stated that Azerbaijan supports a peaceful and negotiated resolution to the current situation surrounding Iran.
