Families and friends of missing soldiers decide to establish  Association to make search efforts more effective

ArmInfo.  Families and friends of missing soldiers have decided to establish an Association to make search efforts more effective. This was announced at a press  conference on August 28 by Gor Muradyan, the uncle of Henrik  Muradyan, a soldier who went missing in 2020.

According to Gor Muradyan, the new organization has attracted the  support of relatives and friends of those missing not only from the  2020-2023 wars, but also from the 1990s. The Association intends to  search for missing soldiers and provide their families with the  necessary assistance, including legal, social, and psychological  support. As Muradyan noted, after the 2020 war, Armenian society was  completely apathetic towards the fates of missing soldiers, which  prompted relatives and friends to create the Association.  It should  be noted that according to official data, there are 437 missing  persons in Armenia, 224 of whom are military personnel and 213  civilians.
