ArmInfo. The border issue between Armenia and Azerbaijan must be resolved exclusively on the basis of legal demarcation maps, not by military force. This was stated by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan in the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia on August 24, responding to a question from  Narek Karapetyan, leader of the Strong Armenia opposition faction.

The MP, in particular, inquired about when Azerbaijani troops would  withdraw from Paravakar, Goris, and Jermuk, expressing concern about  the danger of Tigranashen's possible surrender and calling on local  residents to "fight for their homes." "The fact that these lands are  ours will be confirmed by demarcation. I understand that if the maps  that today constitute the legal basis for peace are called into  question, everyone will begin to doubt these maps. The more we  neutralize this issue, the more it will be resolved by a simple  technical solution. One thing is certain: as a result of all this,  Armenia's territory will amount to 29,743 square kilometers," the  prime minister said.
