


ArmInfo. The Ministry of Defense and the Investigative Committee of Armenia have issued a joint statement refuting reports concerning the recent accident in Chambarak.
"The accident in Chambarak was not preceded by a fight among soldiers, nor were they running in gas masks. The Hraparak newspaper has spread false and inaccurate information regarding the circumstances of the incident," the joint statement reads.
Earlier, the Investigative Committee of Armenia announced the initiation of criminal proceedings against a driver following a vehicle collision involving military personnel in Chambarak.
Recall, the accident in Chambarak resulted in the death of one serviceman and left several others injured. Legal proceedings have been launched under Parts 1 and 4 of Article 342 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia, which pertains to the violation of traffic safety regulations or vehicle operation rules. The driver has been detained.
The Ministry of Defense later confirmed that three servicemen injured in the crash underwent medical examinations and did not require further medical intervention.
