Armenia, South Sudan established diplomatic relations

ArmInfo.Armenia and South Sudan have established diplomatic relations, as reported by the RA Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

According to the source, on August 19, the Joint Communique on the  Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between the Republic of Armenia  and the Republic of South Sudan has been signed by H.E. Mr.  Paruyr  Hovhannisyan, Permanent Representative of the Republic of Armenia and  H.E. Mrs. Cecilia A.M.  Adeng, Permanent Representative of the  Republic of South Sudan in New York.

It should be noted that South Sudan, located in East Africa, is the  world's youngest recognized sovereign state, having gained its  independence on July 9, 2011. The landlocked nation's capital and  largest city is Juba. With a population exceeding 12 million people,  English serves as the country's official language.
