


ArmInfo. Suren Tovmasyan, Chair of the Armenian Cadastre Committee, will participate in the 15th plenary session of the Regional Committee of UN Global Geospatial Information Management for Asia and the Pacific. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan signed the decree authorizing his official travel.
According to a press release from the government, the high-level event will take place in Sanya, located in China's Hainan province. Tovmasyan will be in the People's Republic of China from September 21 to 25, 2026.
The 15th plenary session runs from September 21 to 24, 2026. The gathering is scheduled concurrently with the International Symposium on Geospatial Knowledge and Innovation for Sustainable Development and Climate Resilience. The agenda focuses on coordinating geospatial data management across the Asia- Pacific region, reviewing the progress of various working groups and the Executive Board, and reinforcing the contribution of geospatial information toward achieving sustainable development goals and climate change adaptation.
