Australia highly appreciates Armenia`s historic progress towards  comprehensive peace with Azerbaijan - premier 

ArmInfo.  Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese sent a congratulatory message to Armenian  Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. The message, distributed by the  government's press service, reads, in part: "On behalf of the  Government and the people of Australia, I warmly congratulate you and  the Civil Contract Party on your success in the Armenian  parliamentary elections on 7 June 2026.

Australia welcomes the participation of the Armenian people in the democratic process and  recognizes the significance of these elections for Armenia's future.  Australia commends the historic progress made towards a comprehensive  and sustainable peace with Azerbaijan. I encourage continued efforts  to sign and ratify the agreement. I also welcome Armenia's ongoing  efforts to implement reforms and engage with international partners  to promote economic prosperity, democratic governance, and  sovereignty. Australia values its relationship with Armenia, which  has been enriched by the contributions of the Armenian community in  Australia and our multicultural society. I look forward to  strengthening cooperation between our countries in the coming years.  I wish you and your government success in this important work."
