
ArmInfo. The official ceremony to form the parliamentary friendship group with the Republic of Armenia took place in the Chamber of Deputies of the Argentine Republic. This was reported in a statement by the Embassy of Armenia in Argentina.
According to the source, the event was attended by the group's chairperson, MP Maria Luisa Gonzalez Estevarena, members of the group, representatives of the Chamber of Deputies' Department of International and Institutional Relations, as well as the Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to Armenia, Hovhannes Virabyan, and the Third Secretary of the Embassy, Ruzanna Azroyan.
Ambassador Virabyan thanked MP Gonzalez Estevarena for accepting the position of chairperson of the Argentina-Armenia parliamentary friendship group, as well as the other MPs for joining the group. He expressed special gratitude to the former chair of the group, MP Lilia Lemoine, for the effective and close cooperation established over the past two years.
During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on the prospects for developing Armenian-Argentine interparliamentary cooperation, emphasizing the important role of parliamentary diplomacy in further strengthening bilateral relations.
In particular, they discussed opportunities for expanding cooperation within the parliamentary friendship group, and outlined future joint programs and initiatives. Both sides emphasized the significant role of the Armenian community in Argentina as an important bridge for strengthening friendship, mutual understanding, and multifaceted cooperation between the two countries.
The parties reaffirmed their readiness to continue close cooperation, which will contribute to the further strengthening of interparliamentary ties between Armenia and Argentina and the further deepening of friendly relations between the two countries.
