The director of Multi Transport has been placed under house arrest, according to the Investigative Committee of Armenia.

ArmInfo. Artur Dallakyan, director of the Multi Transport company (owned by Prosperous Armenia Party leader Gagik Tsarukyan - ed.), has been placed under house arrest.

According to media reports citing the Investigative Committee of Armenia (IC) of Armenia, the company director has been charged with large-scale tax evasion. "House arrest has been chosen as a preventive measure against him," the IC reported.

It is also noted that a search was conducted at the company's office on July 31 as part of the case.

As a reminder, on July 6, PAP leader Gagik Tsarukyan was detained and taken to the Investigative Committee of Armenia. He is accused of organizing fraud and money laundering on an especially large scale. In addition, Gagik Tsarukyan faces another charge of illegal hunting. On July 7, the court granted the prosecution's motion to detain Tsarukyan for two months. As part of the case, on July 6, law enforcement agencies conducted searches at more than 70 addresses associated with Tsarukyan. The doors of all businesses were subsequently sealed.

It should be noted that on July 16, the Prosecutor General's Office announced that the Anti-Corruption Court of Armenia had upheld their claim to transfer Tsarukyan's Arat Cement Plant to state control. The nationalization of Tsarukyan's plant began after Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan threatened to nationalize Gagik Tsarukyan's business during a May 20 election campaign in the Lori region. On July 16, it was also reported that the Multi Wellness building, owned by Gagik Tsarukyan, had been transferred to the Yerevan Municipality. On July 23, law enforcement officials sealed off some of the pavilions of Tsarukyan's Arinj Mall shopping center. On July 31, the Prosecutor General's Office of Armenia reported that the Anti-Corruption Court had granted their petition to transfer the Yerevan Ararat Brandy-Wine-Vodka Factory to state control.
