The strategic nature of relations between Armenia and Iran, with a strong focus on energy, transport, and infrastructure projects, were discussed during a July 30 meeting between Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Economic Diplomacy Hamid Ghanbari, who is in Yerevan on a working visit.
According to the Armenian Foreign Ministry's press service, both sides underscored the significance of advancing new connectivity projects. Discussions also addressed broader regional developments. Mirzoyan emphasized that Armenia is closely monitoring the situation, placing high priority on securing sustainable peace and resolving ongoing challenges.
During a separate meeting with Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister Vahan Kostanyan, the officials reviewed current bilateral initiatives and exchanged views on other matters of mutual interest.
