PSRC discusses data collection, coordination, and integration into national geoportal

ArmInfo. On July 30, a  working meeting chaired by Mesrop Mesropyan, Chairman of the Public  Services Regulatory Commission of the Republic of Armenia, was held.  The meeting was attended by Suren Tovmasyan, Head of the Cadastre  Committee; Gegham Gevorgyan, Chairman of the Competition and Consumer  Protection Commission; and representatives from other interested  state agencies.

According to the PSRC press service, the meeting focused on data  collection, coordination, and integration into the national  geoportal, as well as the effective management of spatial data on the  infrastructure of enterprises regulated by the Public Services  Regulatory Commission: gas supply, water supply, electricity supply,  electronic communications, and other networks.

The participants discussed the importance of ensuring  interoperability between information systems across state bodies and  maintaining accurate, comprehensive data on infrastructure. It was  noted that a unified spatial data management system will enhance the  efficiency of infrastructure planning and operation, thereby  contributing to the provision of higher-quality public services.

They reaffirmed their readiness to continue cooperation toward  modernizing public infrastructure data management, its  digitalization, and ensuring integration with state information  systems.
