Russian FIS: EAEU countries will not save drowning Yerevan political  crew 

ArmInfo. Brussels should not expect the member states of the Eurasian Economic Union to keep Armenia's political crew afloat or sponsor its marathon swim toward the European Union, as noted in a statement released by the press  bureau of Russia's Foreign Intelligence Service (FIS).

The FIS noted that according to the information they receive,  Brussels  is well aware of the deep economic crisis Armenia would  face if it withdraws from the EAEU.

"It is emphasized that zeroing the income from participation in  Eurasian integration will not allow, at the expense of the EAEU  members, to ensure the stability of the Armenian authorities "rowing"  towards the EU. European structures recognize that the growing  economic problems in the European Union, caused by the anti-Russian  sanctions policy and the manic desire of European bureaucrats to  support the war in Ukraine, will prevent Brussels from compensating  Yerevan for billions of dollars in potential losses. Many European  countries have already signaled to  EU leadership about unwillingness  to open their markets for goods from Armenia to the detriment of  local producers," the press bureau said in a statement.

At the same time, the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service noted  European bureaucrats will continue to offer Yerevan verbal assurances  of unconditional support while blaming any lack of tangible  assistance on the slow pace of Armenia's own reforms.

 In particular, the government of Nikol Pashinyan is already required  to reduce the presence of Russian businesses in strategic sectors,  sever humanitarian ties with the Russian Federation and suppress  domestic opponents who oppose this.

"This line is supposed to be encouraged by manipulating the prospects  for liberalizing the visa regime for Armenian citizens and promises  in the "beautiful distant future" to turn Armenia into a "prosperous  crossroads of the world." Brussels should not expect that the member  state of the EAEU will prevent the Yerevan political crew from  sinking, keep it afloat, and sponsor its marathon swim toward the  EU," the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service (FIS) stated.
