Caucasian leopard captured again by camera traps in Khosrov forest  state reserve

ArmInfo.  Camera traps at the Khosrov Forest State Reserve have once again captured a Caucasian  leopard, one of Armenia's rarest and most beautiful predators.  Armenian Minister of Environment Hambardzum Matevosyan announced this  on his Facebook page.

According to the minister, the new footage is further evidence of  Armenia's rich biodiversity.

"These unique images once again confirm that our country's nature  continues to preserve its unique biodiversity values, and that the  conservation measures being implemented are yielding tangible  results," Matevosyan wrote. It's worth noting that the Caucasian  leopard is listed as endangered in the Red Data Book of Armenia and  the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) Red List.  In recent years, camera traps have repeatedly recorded the predator's  presence in the Khosrov Forest, which experts consider evidence of  the preservation of suitable habitat and the effectiveness of  conservation measures for this rare species.
