On July 16, a working meeting was held at the National Security Service (NSS) of Armenia to discuss ongoing efforts to develop an integrated border management system within the framework of the Armenia-EU visa liberalization dialogue. The meeting was attended by representatives of the NSS, the Office of the Security Council, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the State Revenue Committee, as well as international experts.
According to the NSS Press Service, integrated border management is one of the key areas of focus within the Armenia-EU visa liberalization dialogue. During the meeting, participants were briefed in detail on the progress of the draft "Strategy and Action Plan for the Integrated Border Management System of the Republic of Armenia," prepared by the NSS. The participants highlighted the importance of the draft and emphasized the need for its prompt approval. Additionally, international experts presented the European concept of integrated border management along with its mandatory components.
Following the meeting, an agreement was reached to step up cooperation with competent authorities to finalize the draft "Strategy and Action Plan for the Creation of an Integrated Border Management System of the Republic of Armenia" and to coordinate future actions.
