Armenian Ambassador to Albania Tigran Mkrtchyan (residence in Athens) and Chairman of the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs of the Albanian Parliament, former Foreign Minister Igli Hasani, discussed prospects for developing bilateral relations between Armenia and Albania, establishing interparliamentary ties, and developing new cooperation formats.
According to the Armenian Embassy in Greece, during the meeting, Mkrtchyan thanked Igli Hasani for his support for Albania in hosting the European Political Community summit in Yerevan and presented the latest developments on Armenia's foreign policy agenda, including the peace process between Armenia and Azerbaijan, the normalization of Armenian-Turkish relations, and Armenia's European development path. Hasani welcomed the initiative to intensify interparliamentary cooperation, expressing his readiness to facilitate ties with the relevant committees of the Armenian National Assembly. He also attached great importance to the development of direct air links, visa liberalization, trade and economic ties, and business contacts between the two countries.
The interlocutors also discussed the possibility of exporting Armenian products to the markets of Albania and the Western Balkans.
