Sargis Khandanyan, Chairman of the Armenian National Assembly Committee on Foreign Relations and Head of the NA Delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE PA), has been re-elected as Chair of the OSCE PA Committee on Democracy, Human Rights, and Humanitarian Aid. The Armenian parliament's press service reported this.
"It has been a great honor for me to serve as Chair of the Committee on Democracy, Human Rights, and Humanitarian Aid over the past year. I am grateful for the trust placed in me and for the opportunity to work closely with partners from across the OSCE region to advance our shared values." During this period, our Committee continued to focus on the most pressing challenges facing our societies - from democratic institutions and human rights protection to humanitarian crises caused by conflict and instability. I have strived to guide our work with the principles of impartiality, dialogue, and a strong commitment to cooperation," Sarkis Khandanyan noted upon his re-election.
The OSCE PA Summer Session is taking place in The Hague from July 4 to 8.
