ArmInfo. RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan rules out a repeat of the events of 2013, when, overnight, Armenia abandoned its European orientation in favor of the Eurasian Economic Union.
Speaking at a joint press conference with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen in Yerevan on July 2, the Prime Minister noted that such a development is impossible, especially now that the Armenian people have clearly supported the current authorities in implementing their policies. On the other hand, the Prime Minister continued, Yerevan does not intend to create a crisis in relations with Moscow. Armenia, according to the Prime Minister, does not ignore the interests of its international partners, but at the same time, is guided by its own interests.
Commenting on yesterday's telephone conversation with Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, Pashinyan stated that during the conversation, the parties agreed to continue discussing pressing bilateral issues. "The telephone conversation took place at my initiative. The range of issues discussed was provided in the message. We agreed that more detailed discussions will take place in the near future," he said.
