ArmInfo. The situation in Armenia following the recent parliamentary elections is expected to stabilize, according to Sergei Lebedev, Secretary General of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).
When asked by reporters about the prospects for post-election stabilization, Lebedev expressed optimism, noting the presence of necessary foundations for such stability. "Yes, I believe that there are grounds for this, as Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has stated that they do not intend to withdraw from the EAEU at this time. There is no question of leaving the CIS at all; they remain part of our organization," the CIS Secretary General stated.
Lebedev further noted that an authorized representative from Armenia was present at today's meeting of the CIS Economic Council, he participated and signed the necessary documents. "We hope that everything will be fine," he added.
