ArmInfo.Edgar Ghazaryan, a candidate for the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia from the opposition "Strong Armenia" party, reported continued political persecution against members of his family.
"On June 8, the day after the parliamentary elections on June 7, my sister, Lilit Ghazaryan, was ordered to resign by the RA Ministry of Health. After refusing to submit a resignation letter, she was illegally fired. Ironically, this decision was made through Arayik Bagryan, a native of Artsakh, former Minister of Health of the Republic of Artsakh, and current Director of the Center for Medicines Expertise. My sister has worked at the center for over 30 years, and for the past 22 years, has served as Deputy Director. She is a unique specialist in the field of medicines regulation in Armenia, a PhD in pharmaceutical sciences, and an expert with the World Health Organization. The only reason for Lilit Ghazaryan's dismissal is that she is my sister, especially in a situation where she demonstrated political restraint and made no public statements," the politician noted.
He added that the time will come when justice will prevail. "Some people should think about the day when they are not fired from their jobs, but thrown out, and their next place of residence can only be the Abovyan penal institution," wrote Edgar Kazaryan.
