ArmInfo. The European Union isn't simply trying to change governments in other countries through clandestine means, but is proud of its own methods. This was stated by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, commenting on a letter from European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen to Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, as reported by Russian media.
"I'd like to mention the congratulatory message from European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, who sent a message to Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. I quote: 'The spirit of the velvet revolution, which you led in 2018, is alive and well.' "Yerevan can count on Europe." In other words, they're no longer simply trying to change the government through underground methods, but are proud of carrying out color revolutions, velvet revolutions, and so on," the minister noted during an embassy roundtable on the situation in Ukraine.
