The Embassy of the Republic of Armenia in Bulgaria reports that the decision was made unanimously by the Sofia City Council: 33 votes in favor, 0 against, and 0 abstentions.
"This unanimous support is an important manifestation of friendship and mutual respect, reflecting the centuries-old ties and strong friendship that have developed between the Armenian and Bulgarian peoples. We express our sincere gratitude to the Sofia City Council and the Sredets District Administration for their dedication and ongoing efforts, thanks to which this initiative was realized, becoming a symbol of the historical Armenian-Bulgarian friendship, as well as an expression of gratitude for the Armenian presence and the contribution of the Armenian community in Bulgaria," the diplomatic mission said in a statement.
