Armenian rescuers have found the body of a 13-year-old girl, who had been searched for in the Pambak River since June 15.

"Today, at around 2:25 PM, a diver from the rescue service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs discovered the body of Marine Martirosyan, born in 2013, in the Pambak River, approximately 550 meters from the alleged scene of the incident. The search had been ongoing since June 15. Rescuers and police officers, volunteers, divers, drones, boats, and other technical equipment participated in the search," the ministry said in a statement.

As a reminder, the tragic incident occurred in the Lori region on June 15. Two sisters, ages 7 and 13, were attempting to cross the river via a pipe when they fell into the water. According to eyewitnesses, 7-year-old Nare Martirosyan was the first to fall into the river, and her 13-year-old sister, who tried to help her, fell in after her. Rescuers discovered 7-year-old Nare's body on June 17.
