


ArmInfo.Russian Ambassador Sergey Kopyrkin attended a ceremonial assembly at School No. 8 named after A.S. Pushkin in Yerevan, dedicated to the 227th anniversary of the great Russian poet's birth.
According to the press service of the Russian Embassy in Armenia, in his welcoming remarks, Kopyrkin noted that he considers it deeply symbolic that his participation in the event marking A.S. Pushkin's birthday at School No. 8 in Yerevan was his first public event since arriving in the country as head of the Russian diplomatic mission. "Today, the creative legacy of A.S. Pushkin remains an inexhaustible source of inspiration for the peoples of both Russia and Armenia and a symbol of the inviolability of the two countries' cultural ties," he said.
Students from the school, participants in the annual cultural and educational program "Pushkin's Petersburg," which took place this year in St. Petersburg from May 25-30, presented a film about their trip to Russia's northern capital. .
