ArmInfo. The prosecutor has initiated a public criminal prosecution against Karapet Guloyan, the former Governor of the Kotayk Province, on charges of unlawfully damaging and altering property under judicial attachment.
According to the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office, the preliminary investigation established that Guloyan was aware that, within the framework of an illicit asset forfeiture case, the Anti-Corruption Court had applied an interim measure in the form of property attachment and prohibited any actions related to its disposal. Despite this, according to the investigation, the former Kotayk governor had organized the damage of the exterior, interior, and basement walls of the specified residential house. Specifically, he had organized the dismantling of facing tiles from the building's exterior and interior walls, the removal of doors and windows, and committed other acts resulting in property damage.
According to the source, the property in question is located in the village of Arinj (P. Sevak Quarter, 14th Street, Building 8) in the Kotayk region. It was confiscated from the former governor of Kotayk and former head of the Abovyan community, Karapet Guloyan, and his wife, Roza Tsarukyan.
