Applications for the lab are open until June 10. A total of 65 participants are planned to be selected, 70% of which will be artists and musicians working in Armenia and the region, and 30% will be international participants.
The lab's curatorial team includes composer, pianist, and songwriter Arman Peshtmaldjian; ethnomusicologist and co-founder of the Mountains of Tongues label Ben Wheeler; multi-instrumentalist, DJ, and producer Hayk Karoi; and others.
The lab will conclude with the NOTATIONS music festival, during which participants will present their work at the State Philharmonic of Armenia and the National Gallery of Armenia. The festival program, which will take place on August 1-2, also includes lectures, master classes, concerts, and other events.
The first NOTATIONS festival took place in 2025 at the State Philharmonic of Armenia, bringing together 60 artists and musicians, as well as 22 curators from Armenia, Austria, China, Georgia, Germany, Italy, Russia, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom. The program concluded with a two-day NOTATIONS festival, attended by over 1,000 people.
The event is organized by the Hosq Foundation.
