ArmInfo.A total of 39,650 applications for Armenian citizenship have been submitted by Armenians from Nagorno-Karabakh. Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Armen Mkrtchyan announced this on June 9 at a joint meeting of the RA National Assembly committees discussing the implementation of the 2025 national budget.
According to him, 27,296 of them have already received Armenian citizenship. No cases of citizenship denial have been recorded during the review of applications. Moreover, as Armen Mkrtchyan noted, 28,000 applications were submitted in the name of children, 12,000 of which were approved, and the rest are pending review.
The deputy minister also reported that 11,146 applications were submitted electronically.
