ArmInfo. Any elections in Armenia are the responsibility of every citizen, as stated by Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan to reporters on June 7.
He said it would be hypocritical to not vote and then demand that others improve their living conditions. "Those who don't vote will have only themselves to blame; in the future, they will no longer have the right to speak out about their problems. Therefore, I urge you to take responsibility during this crucial period, go out and vote, and not just talk about your rights," the archbishop said.
Addressing the court's recent decision to transfer him from pretrial detention to house arrest, the Archbishop said that the restriction remains severe. "Given my status, this measure has not become any more lenient," Galstanyan noted, emphasizing that he remains opposed to any judicial restrictions on his freedom. "For me, both forms of detention are unacceptable, and I have not reconciled myself to this situation."
