ArmInfo. RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan cast his ballot at polling station 8/20 in the Shengavit district of the capital.
Speaking to journalists, the Prime Minister noted that he is ready to submit to any demand of the people. "Whatever the people say, so it shall be. The choice of the people must be aimed at the future, at peace, and at children," the Prime Minister said.
Responding to a question regarding when he would visit Moscow to resolve bilateral relations, the head of the Armenian government noted that the authorities' foreign policy agenda is quite extensive— encompassing not only Moscow, but also Tbilisi, and, if the opportunity arises, Baku, which will host the next European Political Community summit. The Prime Minister reiterated his previous statement regarding his intention to visit Russia immediately after the elections. In his conviction, the current tension is artificial in nature. He added that certain political forces in Armenia are attempting to introduce this tension. "However, I share close relations with the President of the Russian Federation," the head of the Armenian cabinet stated, adding that relations between Yerevan and Moscow have an institutional background based on mutual respect.
In response to a question from Russian journalists about the repression of the opposition party "Strong Armenia," the prime minister said there were no repressions, but rather instances of "electoral corruption." "Unfortunately, there are many facts of electoral corruption, and state institutions must respond to them," the RA prime minister noted.
