ArmInfo. Armenia is going through a fateful period in its history, and unless decisive steps are taken, the country will face serious issues, as stated by Robert Kocharyan, leader of the Armenia bloc and second President of the Republic of Armenia, during the campaign rally in Spitak.
According to him, the current situation suggests that a "geopolitical earthquake" can be expected. Kocharyan noted that during his presidency, the Armenian side was so strong that the Azerbaijanis did not dare take action on the front lines. He added that there were no incidents because the enemy knew the force of retaliatory measures, which would have severe consequences.
Kocharyan noted that Pashinyan had left $5 billion worth of weaponry to Aliyev in Artsakh. Moreover, instead of purchasing UAVs, the current government pursued a "strawberry" reform. According to Kocharyan, this—combined with the collapse of the negotiation process—was the precise reason for the defeat. According to Kocharyan, this, along with the breakdown of the negotiation process, is precisely the reason for the defeat. "In short, they did everything to ensure Aliyev would start a war, which they themselves provoked," the second president of the Republic of Armenia stated.
