ArmInfo. The signing of the strategic partnership agreement between Armenia and the United States looks more like election campaign assistance. Russian Security ouncil Secretary Sergei Shoigu stated this at a press conference at the First International Security Forum, TASS reports.
"Regarding the strategic partnership agreement, let's imagine: someone flies in for an hour. In that hour, they manage to sign a strategic partnership agreement. This is more like an election campaign or assistance in an election campaign. Delving into the deeper details is difficult because, firstly, these details don't exist, and secondly, the strategic partnership agreement itself should provide for separate areas, each of which should be sufficiently developed. We haven't seen this yet," Shoigu said.
During US Secretary of State Marco Rubio's visit to Yerevan on May 26, Armenia and the United States signed three documents on developing bilateral cooperation. Specifically, the Charter of a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, a Framework Memorandum on the Extraction and Processing of Critical Minerals and Rare Earth Metals, and the initialing of a Framework Agreement on Strategic Cooperation for the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP) project.
