ArmInfo. Voters in Armenia must cast their ballots for the "Civil Contract" party in the upcoming parliamentary elections because everyone must stand up to defend the state, peace, and the country's future, as stated by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on May 22, during an election campaign rally in the Avan administrative district of Yerevan.
"We must go to the polling stations and stand up for peace; however, a vote in favor of the party must not be obtained through coercion or bribery," the head of the Armenian government stated, adding that today, it is the citizens who make the decisions in Armenia.
"This is the core message of modern Armenia and my political activities and those of my team. When the people decide I must leave, I will leave, without discussion. But if 700,000 people, or 50%+1% of voters, say, 'Nikol, stay,' I will stay. If they say, 'Nikol, leave,' then who is Nikol not to leave. Nikol is a servant," the Prime Minister said.
Recall, the campaign for the parliamentary elections in Armenia, which will take place on June 7, began on May 8 and will last until June 5. Nineteen political forces have registered to participate in the elections: two blocs and 17 parties.
