ArmInfo.Another group of individuals associated with the "Strong Armenia" party has been detained.
According to the press service of the Anti-Corruption Committee, operational measures carried out by the agency's officers yielded factual evidence showing that the head of the "Strong Armenia" party offices in the city of Alaverdi, Lori Province, along with several individuals, distributed bribes to a number of voters in exchange for their votes in the parliamentary elections to the National Assembly.
"To conceal their criminal activities, the funds distributed to the citizens receiving the election bribes were disguised as wages paid for work within various party bodies. However, the citizens in question were not only unregistered as employees, but they also performed no actual work.
A criminal case has been initiated by the Anti-Corruption Committee regarding the incident. Several individuals have been detained, and searches alongside other procedural actions have been conducted," the statement reads.
