ArmInfo. This government is suffering defeat before everyone's eyes - in Yerevan, Gyumri, Vanadzor, and in all the regions and villages. Political scientist and co-founder of the "Alternative Projects" group Vahe Hovhannisyan expressed this opinion on his Facebook page.

He noted that the current government lacks the support of any social  class, and even the effectiveness of campaign promises regarding  health insurance is weakening.

According to the political scientist, the authorities have no  program, no project - only threats and insults.  "Armenia has never  had such a hollow government. Even in 2021, they at least talked  about something - de-occupation of Artsakh, self-determination, and  so on - although they later did the exact opposite. In 2021, they at  least lied beautifully, but now they don't even have the desire to do  so. Lies are their only programmatic thesis, and Aliyev's support is  their only support," Hovhannisyan wrote.

At the same time, he said, the opposition faces several simple tasks.  Specifically, they include expanding dialogue with various segments  of society, identifying risks, and presenting their own programs to  neutralize them, without making obvious, grave mistakes.

According to the political scientist, the government lacks the  resources to strengthen its own position - its only recourse is to  resort to harsher insults and threats. "If it resorts to gross  violations or bans against any political forces, it will only worsen  the situation. Of course, the Moldovan, Romanian, and Nikolov  scenarios are still on its mind," Hovhannisyan said.

According to him, the mechanism of election fraud and the abuse of  administrative and security resources is still operating at full  capacity. The last temptation for the authorities, recognizing their  defeat, could be, as the political scientist wrote, the unrestrained  use of force.
