RA Minister of Health strongly condemns incident at Tashir clinic

ArmInfo.  RA Minister of Health Anahit Avanesyan strongly condemns the incident that occurred yesterday at the Tashir Clinic, which resulted in one citizen receiving bodily injuries.

"According to the Investigative Committee, during a dispute between  citizens with different political views, a supporter of the Strong  Armenia bloc attempted to remove a citizen from the clinic after the  leader of the Civil Contract party pinned a map of Armenia to his  collar. The Strong Armenia supporter claimed that the clinic's  premises belonged to Samvel Karapetyan.

Dear citizens, you all joined us in rejecting such customs back in  2018. No city, village, or community in Armenia, no state institution  can belong to anyone; every such territory in Armenia belongs to each  of us.  This is precisely what we fought for eight years ago. I urge  you not to succumb to provocations, to maintain restraint, and on  June 7th, once again firmly reject these outdated and long-abandoned  customs. We will stand for our state, we will stand for peace,"  stated Anahit Avanesyan.

The day before, a conflict erupted at a clinic in the city of Tashir  over a map gifted by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.  According to the Investigative Committee, on May 14, at the Tashir  community clinic, N. P., noticing the map gifted by the leader of the  Civil Contract party on N. G.'s collar, insulted him and then  demanded he leave the clinic, stating that the area belonged to S. K.  He then threatened to stab him with a knife and then tore the map  from his collar. As a result, N. G. felt ill, fell, and hit the  ground, sustaining a head injury. Based on the report, criminal  proceedings have been initiated under Article 194, Part 2, Clause 8  of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia (mental coercion  committed out of hatred, intolerance, or hostility based on political  or other views) and Article 297, Part 1 (hooliganism). The suspect  has been detained.
