"Strong Armenia" party promises to restore  Shengavit`s former glory

ArmInfo. The "Strong Armenia" party has promised to revitalize Yerevan's Shengavit administrative district and restore its former glory. Speaking to  voters on May 14, Narek Karapetyan, a member of the party's Political Council and the top candidate on its electoral list, noted that the  empty warehouses of this once industrial district throughout Armenia will be trnasformed into technological enterprises that will be in  full swing 24/7. 

Karapetyan emphasized that Shengavit was historically built by  "honest laborers" and served as the country's primary industrial  heart. He noted that due to management failures, many factories have  since closed, turning what was once a prosperous district into the  area with Yerevan's highest unemployment rate.
