ArmInfo. Armenian Ambassador to the Russian Federation Gurgen Arsenyan was summoned to the Russian Foreign Ministry on May 7 to protest statements made by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy against the Russian side from Yerevan.
According to the Russian Foreign Ministry press service, Arsenyan met with Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin at the Foreign Ministry. "The head of the diplomatic mission was informed of the categorical unacceptability of providing a platform for the leader of the Kyiv Nazi regime, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, to voice terrorist threats against Russia during recent EU-sponsored events in Armenia. It was emphasized that Moscow is justifiably indignant in this regard and considers official Yerevan's lack of a proper negative assessment of such egregious behavior by the aforementioned visitor inconsistent with the partnership-based nature of Russian-Armenian relations," the statement reads.
It is noted that the Armenian ambassador promised to report to Yerevan on the Russian side's representation.
Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, during his speech at the 8th European Political Community Summit in Yerevan, threatened Russia with an attack on Moscow on the day of the Victory Day Parade on May 9. He advised foreign leaders to avoid attending the parade.
