Strategic partnership document between Armenia and France  made  public

ArmInfo. Armenia and France signed a strategic partnership document, thereby confirming their intention to expand and strengthen relations,  in line with the  national interests and shared values of Armenia and France.

According to the press service of the Armenian government, the  parties reaffirmed their commitment to respecting the principles of  international law, specifically those outlined in the Charter of the  United Nations and the Helsinki Final Act, willing to contribute to  strengthening regional and international security, stability, and  peace through the development of bilateral relations. The strategic  partnership is based on the principles of sovereignty, equality, and  territorial integrity of states, respect for democratic values, human  rights and fundamental freedoms, and the rule of law, in an  atmosphere of mutual respect and mutual benefit.  This strategic  partnership envisions comprehensive cooperation in the following  areas: political, economic, judicial, defense, security, cultural,  humanitarian cooperation, education, university cooperation, science,  social affairs, environmental protection, technology, and  decentralized cooperation.

In the political sphere, the countries will continue to deepen their  political dialogue and hold regular political consultations at least  annually to further develop bilateral relations and discuss issues of  mutual interest. Key topics include Armenia's relations with the  European Union, particularly based on the Comprehensive and Enhanced  Partnership Agreement (CEPA) and the new Armenia-EU strategic  partnership agenda. By signing the document, Armenia and France  reaffirm their commitment to the principles of gender equality and  the protection of the rights of women and girls, as well as their  intention to combat all forms of inequality and violence by  strengthening public policy, supporting civil society, and developing  multilateral cooperation.  Armenia and France will develop their  partnership in  security, defense, military education,  military-technical, and military-technological cooperation.  Defense  cooperation will be implemented on a long-term basis, through  industrial cooperation in the defense sector, aimed at strengthening  the defense capabilities of the two countries.

The parties intend to enhance cooperation within international  structures on international and regional security issues, as well as  strengthen cooperation within international peacekeeping missions.   To ensure the integrity of information, access to free and reliable  information, and preserve freedom of speech, Armenia and France will  strengthen cooperation aimed at combating foreign-origin information  manipulation.  Within the economic agenda, the countries will  strengthen cooperation in infrastructure development and sustainable  transport, agriculture and food security, healthcare, innovation and  digitalization, artificial intelligence, semiconductors, aerospace,  waste management, environmental protection, sustainable use of  natural resources, and financial services.
