Aram I calls on Turkey to recognize Armenian Genocide and provide  reparations

ArmInfo.  Catholicos of the Great House of Cilicia Aram I condemned the Israeli attacks and called on Turkey to recognize the Armenian Genocide.

On the evening of April 23, at a public meeting organized by three  Armenian parties in the Antelias Cathedral, His Holiness Aram I  addressed the entire Armenian people. His Holiness condemned Israel's  expansionist policies, reaffirmed the Armenian people's commitment to  the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Lebanon, and presented  his position on the Armenian Genocide in the Ottoman Empire.   Armenian

"We reject any diplomatic or economic relations with Turkey and  Azerbaijan that would contradict our national sovereign rights.  Recognition of the Armenian Genocide and compensation for the damage  inflicted on us by Turkey, the return of the people of Artsakh and  the restoration of their autonomy with international guarantees, the  protection of religious and historical monuments, and the release of  Armenian prisoners in Baku by Azerbaijan remain the foundation of our  demands."

In his message, His Holiness also called for a resolution of regional  problems through political negotiations, preserving the security,  territorial integrity, and sovereignty of the countries in the  region.
