


ArmInfo. Armenian Environment Minister Hambardsum Matevosyan, at the invitation of Monique Barbut, Minister of Ecological Transition, Biodiversity, Climate, and Nature of France, will attend the G7 Environment Ministers' Meeting, which will be held in Paris from April 22-24.
According to the ministry's press service, the goal of the meeting is to strengthen political dialogue between member states and harmonize approaches to climate change and environmental protection. Discussions will focus on measures to combat climate change, the energy transition, biodiversity conservation, and reducing environmental impacts.
The visit will also discuss issues such as desertification, land degradation, water and marine resource management, and combating illegal fishing.
The meeting is expected to result in the development of common positions that will facilitate decision- making at the G7 summit and advance global biodiversity goals at COP17.
