On March 26, an incident involving Alen Simonyan occurred near the parliament building. A citizen reportedly insulted Alen Simonyan, to which the Speaker of the National Assembly responded in kind. , Speaking to journalists, Alen Simonyan claimed that the incident near the National Assembly was organized, and stated he is aware who orchestrated it.
According to the judicial information website Datalex, the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia has filed a lawsuit regarding the matter. He demands an apology from the citizen, activist, Mikael Margaryan, and payment of 1 dram, not counting legal costs of 506,000 drams, including 480,000 drams for attorney's fees and 26,000 drams for state duties. The site reports that Judge Ani Atanesyan will hear the case.
