RA defense minister meets with new NATO Secretary General`s Special  Representative for Caucasus

ArmInfo.  Armenian Defense Minister Suren Papikyan, meeting with Kevin Hamilton, the NATO Secretary General's Special Representative for the Caucasus and  Central Asia, congratulated him on his assumption of office and  wished him success.

According to the Armenian Defense Ministry's press service, the  meeting discussed the current course and prospects for developing  cooperation between Armenia and NATO. The parties also touched on  regional and international security issues.

Hamilton was appointed as the NATO Secretary General's Special  Representative for the Caucasus on March 6 of this year. He succeeds  Javier Colomin, who was reassigned as NATO Special Representative for  the Southern Neighborhood in July 2024.
