


ArmInfo. A criminal case has been opened in connection with the April 17 incident outside the Anti-Corruption Court in Yerevan involving supporters of the Strong Armenia party. This was stated in a statement by Kima Avdalyan, press secretary of the Investigative Committee of Armenia, on Facebook.
"During the preliminary investigation of the criminal case, 17 people were detained. The necessary investigative and procedural measures are being taken," she added.
As a reminder, on April 17, a brawl broke out between supporters of businessman and Strong Armenia party founder Samvel Karapetyan and police officers outside the Anti-Corruption Court. The clashes were provoked by law enforcement officers. The press service of the Armenian Ministry of Internal Affairs reported on April 17 that 17 citizens had been detained.
