Tourism Committee considering mechanisms for assessing guides`  Armenian language proficiency

ArmInfo. Lusine Gevorgyan, Chair of the Tourism Committee, met with Siranush Dvoyan, Chair of the Language Committee.

The parties discussed the possibility of implementing joint programs,  emphasizing the importance of strengthening interagency cooperation.  Specifically, they discussed the prospects for developing new tourist  routes, mechanisms for assessing guides' Armenian language  proficiency, and steps aimed at improving the quality of speech in  the tourism sector.

The parties also emphasized the importance of preserving the Armenian  language and promoting it internationally as an important component  of Armenia's cultural identity and enhancing the country's  visibility.
